Job Purpose

To provide day-to-day operational management (from a Danone perspective) of all order-to-customer delivery and reverse logistics activities, ensuring the achievement of customer service objectives.

Responsibilities

Main Function

• Ensure smooth and efficient delivery execution
• Handling queries quickly and efficiently from the sales team regarding customer deliveries
• Ensure a high customer service level through coordination and collaboration with stakeholders
• Implementing and monitoring specific cost control activities – Backdoors, directs, Chep recycling, etc
• Support Danone Safety, quality, and Internal Control audits and requirements
• Proactive and frequent communication to improve the visibility of operations to stakeholders
• Various reporting and monitoring requirements
• Assist in stock management and issues with the inventory controllers
• Work flexible hours along with the needs of the supply chain.
• Various supply chain projects/initiatives
• Travel where necessary to the depots within the network to execute the responsibilities
• Assist in ensuring smooth and on-time delivery of sampling, innovation, and staff orders for internal stakeholders
• Key contact for quality team

• Delivery Performance/ Customer Strike Rate [Secondary, PnP, BNLS]
• Successful Redeliveries
• POD Compliance
• Uplift Adherence
• Backdoors / Customer Rejections

Required Qualification

• Degree / Diploma (Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering)

Required Experience and Skills

• 4-6 years experience in various supply chain operations in either multi-national(s) or major South African organizations
• Thorough knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain processes, and inter-relationship between activities
• Supply Chain/Logistics Principles
• Warehousing/ distribution operations experience
• Strong negotiation skills
• Presentation skills
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, MS Windows, and MS Excel
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advantageous:
  • User knowledge of SAP
  • WMS experience
  • Dairy/FMCG experience
