One planet one health BY You.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sales Strategy &amp; Planning Manager is responsible for driving the Commercial Strategy, policy and business development, monitoring and enforcement of the Strategy, and action plan execution within the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This role defines and activates business development opportunities, manages and improves organisation profitability, creates and sustains the company brands\u2019 competitive edge, drives operation efficiency, manages the route to market strategy, and effectively manages pricing and promotions by brand and format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>10.1. Strategy and Planning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Develop the department\u2019s strategy, structures, and KPI\u2019s, and cascade them to the team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continuously provide direction to the team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take accountability for the quality of the technology and processes within the department, and implement changes and best practices as required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive change and lead the implementation of best practice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage and monitor adherence to best practices and performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand and define areas for improvement within the department<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review the weekly KPI reports, comparing with other CBUs, and define and follow up improvement action plans (internal\/external)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compare KPIs with other SA FMCG companies and lead improvement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyse\/present retail audit data and identify key opportunities per Channel, Key Account, region, per brand, and recommend actions and next steps with a focus on the 4 Ps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead the marketing interface and communicate information to the team that could effectively improve brands performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the monthly forecasting process (demand planning, S&amp;OP, spending)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead, with Marketing involvement, to create an effective and proactive promotion strategy and agenda<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support KAM in tailoring and initiating trade promotions that deliver a high share of stocks and accelerate the push<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study and recommend sales incentives that best fit and motivate the team against company priorities and KPIs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop actions to sustain a motivated sales force<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>10.2. Finance and Budgeting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the Sales Development calendar and budget, and recommend spending priorities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify and improve profitability by channel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor channel contribution and highlight key elements to improve it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead the pricing strategy (Including price increases, reset) and implementation by channel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide input into the budget-setting process, and take overall accountability for working within a budget<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee the day-to-day management of the department\u2019s budget<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give feedback against the budget tracker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>10.3. Trade Marketing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Understand and monitor trade dynamics evolution, and communicate trade structure changes that could affect company route to market strategy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Define Key Channels under company coverage and identify parameters and Route to Market<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify the Brand\/Category KPI channel and how it can be achieved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify the service package per channel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>10.4. Integration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and manage a team of planners to achieve the maximum possible on-shelf availability of products across the portfolio<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide guidance and support to team members and senior management and identify potential improvements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective management of the team to ensure the most accurate forecasts possible, meet customer expectations, and minimise costs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create and manage new line forecasts based on business estimates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>10.8.
